We are pleased to announce that due to high demand, the Andrew Walker School of Music is now offering vocal and songwriting lessons! Our teacher Katie is passionate about sharing her joy of singing with students, whether they be beginning for the first time, or continuing a life-long passion of singing or songwriting.

Katie says: "As a tutor, I consider myself to be a very kind, caring, friendly and bubbly teacher who always strives to bring out the best in all my pupils. I always try to find new and innovative ways to help students who may be struggling with either technique, confidence or self-doubt. I was a student once too and know exactly how daunting and vulnerable it could feel to sing in front of someone I didn't know very well. I always aim to enable students to feel at ease and like they can be who they are without fear of judgement. I have learned numerous vocal/performance/piano/songwriting/recording techniques over the years as well as theory/knowledge and always try to incorporate new and interesting ways to keep the student engaged. I hope to see you at the Andrew Walker School of Music soon!"

Katie has a vast amount of teaching experience previously with Rookie Rockstars and InTune Music, to name but a few. Alongside teaching, Katie is a freelance musician, performer, songwriter, tutor and recording/session musician. She is primarily a vocalist and pianist  and but also plays guitar, bass and drums. She is a recording artist/musician on Fiverr, a solo function/wedding performer and on several agency rosters including The Alive Network, Genre Music and more. Alongside all this, Katie is also the lead vocalist/pianist for her function band, Rough Diamond. Lastly, she is an original solo artist performing, writing and recording under the name Ceiti (still pronounced Katie) as well as the lead vocalist and co-songwriter for her duo, Artax. Katie has released music for both projects, which have been featured on the radio.

Recognition for her vocal achievements include being awarded funding by Young Scot's 'Time to Shine/Nurturing Talent Fund' to record her first EP. Additionally, she has been awarded a scholarship for an artist development course and is a Round 2 Semi-Finalist for the Andrson Songwriting Competition.
